A real HitchHiker’s trailer!

An official trailer for the “HitchHiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” movie is out… finally! I was really looking forward to it – was kinda tired of the teaser one, though it was nicely done.

The real trailer gives a better idea of what the movie will be like, and it looks quite nifty. My only nitpicks so far were about Zaphod – I thought he would get to have two heads “all the time”, which doesn’t seem to be the case… might be a budget thing – and the fact that I thought Marvin would look more like a C3p0 (sp?) kinda dude, and smaller. I like his big head, though; it suits the character. Other than that, the movie looks even better than it did in my head when I read the book, so that can’t be bad. Casting is really promising, too, and from the trailer it seems everyone fits their character well enough, especially Arthur and Ford.

I haven’t understood why the trailer can only be seen on amazon.com, though. Probably a marketing thing. It sucks because the format is rather small. C’mon, Apple.com/trailers!

Oh well, I shouldn’t ramble any more about a two-minute short preview. Can’t wait until may now!

Friday, good.

Will probably go visit my little sister in Montreal this weekend. I said I wanted to go to Ikea, as I often do, but I thought I don’t really feel like it after all, so I am looking for another activity to do while I’m there.

I had a dream the other night that I was with Karine in a library type of shop, with shelves full of books that ran wall to wall and up to the ceilings, and with tables buried under piles of books everywhere. Old books, new books… I kept finding stuff I wanted to take home. So I guess I’ll ask her if she knows of any nice bookshop around we could go visit. And maybe, if it’s in the area, I’ll drop by one of Phil’s comics stores – will have to find one first, though. I want to get one of those new X-Men comics, maybe the Rogue series.

Hope there’s nice weather on Sunday.

The flu!

It’s the same every season; it seems the flu bug has a thing for me. This year is no exception, and that nasty winter virus has it all this time: fever, nausea, head and ear ache, sore throat, cough, and running nose.

Now, I shouldn’t complain too much, Frank has been the nicest, loveliest caretaker one could hope for – except for the parts where he is running after me with a spoonful of syrup. The only thing I do find irritating is that it had to happen on the single week where I got a job overload at work. But, I fought the two battles at once and survived, so I guess I’ll be OK.

Plus, I want to note Lady Nature’s brilliant flash of springtime weather this week. Snow came today but still, I’m hoping – please don’t let this be wishful thinking – that the worst of winter is over and spring is crawling in real early in 2005. Maybe I can see grass on my birthday?
