Croissance
transl. “Growth”
Xavier’s checkup at the doctor’s yesterday – I told the doc Xavier was doing fine, and he told me Xavier was doing fine.
I’ve been web surfing yesterday night for a decent growth chart for his scrapbook (the doctor doesn’t give out his). For those interested, I’ve found a bunch of printable ones in PDF there: CDC Growth Charts (US). Also, I’ve found a cool site where to enter all the dates/measurements/weights we have from our child, and it produces his growth chart. The site can keep the records if you register, too. This one’s a European French site, though. It’s at www.CourbeDeCroissance.com.
Oh and Xavier’s new measurements, at 8 months, for the archives:
Weight : 20.25 lbs (just over percentile 50)
Length : 29″ (almost percentile 90)
… he really has grown a lot in the last 2-3 months, his weight still hasn’t fully caught up yet.
Chose promise, chose dûe

Well I said I was gonna post pictures of our basement mini-renos, didn’t I?
Here’s the color we started with (yes, yellow!):
Once the painting was done – there’s a good look at the tiling in this picture, too:
There’s the varnished/mate effect I did on the walls:
My lovely bookcase, how I’ve missed you!
We’ve had those spotlights for about what, 10 months? and Frank installed them at last!
I’m really happy with how it all turned out (the shade of grey on the walls renders maybe a tad too purple, but not enough so that I feel I must repaint it all). And I’m REALLY glad that it’s done!
