Lac Ricard

We went to Lac Ricard (a camping) yesterday with Geneviève and Éric and our kids. It was fun; there were splash games, including small water slides for the kids and an artificial lake where the kiddos could play in the… mud! Thanks to our friends for the invitation!

Vacation still in progress

I just added around 50 pictures to our Summer 2009 album.

We had a great hot (and very humid!) day at the zoo Tuesday with Amélie and Nicolas; the kids enjoyed seeing the animals — although some made them nervous, and even a little scared. Xavier always loved lions, except at the moment when he got close to a live one tearing through its lunch! Poor Xavier, as a matter of fact, got up that morning with a knee injury and spent the visit in the stroller. By some miracle, however, he managed to get on his feet to enjoy the zoo’s waterpark.

From Wednesday to Friday, we had a little too much rain, but we still enjoyed our time camping. The kids — Xavier, especially — loved the ATV rides in the plantation and the outdoor games, as well as sleeping in their grandparents’ trailer.

I’m leaving you with a couple of shots from the series — and I’ll be back another day with the rest of our vacation! (We went to Lac Ricard today with Ge and Éric; it was fun…)

Moon

The moon was bright tonight, and strangely there were not so much clouds and it was not raining. So I took some shoots with the long lense (55-200).

premiere shot qui a du bon sens
Pas mal hein ?
on voit le croissant de lune et le cercle complet (en très pale)

This is the first post where we are hosting the photos directly on the server (instead of on Picasa), so if you have problem viewing the photos (ex: show download) please let us know. Thanks

It’s these crazy kids, munching up all our time!

My staff (or “How bourgeois are we?”):

  • A snow guy for our driveway
  • A student business to clean our windows
  • A lady to clean our house weekly
  • A clerk to assemble our online-ordered groceries
  • A babysitter, an accountant, a car wash business, a few restaurateurs,…

Thanks to all these people for simplifying my life.

Smile !

This is the best short film I’ve seen in a long time :

Jupiter or Venus, maybe

I am unjustifiably proud of this picture. I think it is Jupiter (or maybe Venus)… in any case, it is the first planet I photograph that turns up a somewhat decent shot. The shutter was open for about 30 seconds. This planet has been shining South-West in our night sky for many weeks now.

Paul thinks this must be Venus. Paul is a thoughtful guy, so he’s probably right.
