Hi! I'm sorry but... you posted as "Anonymous" and didn't jot down your name! If you pass by here again, could you say? I'm trying to guess who you are, but I'm drawing a blank. If by "Groucho Marx's line" you mean you have a mustache... I still don't know.

I realized i never posted a comment here with you Émilie, and thought this was an interesting place to start.

I do agree that the results seem to meet what I beleive, though I would never actually apply those titles to my self. It is nice to know that three clubs would want me to join, ignoring Groucho Marx's line.

1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. Theravada Buddhism (100%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (97%)
4. Mahayana Buddhism (86%)
5. Liberal Quakers (84%)
6. Secular Humanism (84%)
7. New Age (82%)
8. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (71%)
9. Reform Judaism (65%)
10. Taoism (63%)

Frank had Secular Humanism as first as well.

Moksha, I'm not sure you can add them up, hehe. Most likely the aspects that give you a closeness to one kind of buddhism are repeated in another kind, so... ah, forget it.

Starting the test, I was wondering (hoping?) if I'd get buddhism (zen!) at the top of my results, but found out there are some aspects of buddhism I'm not as comfortable with - "Life is suffering", the emphasis on karma/rebirths (I like the idea, but not as a main focus), their position on abortion, homosexuality, etc. Taoism beliefs seem more comfortable to me (balance, yin-yang, and all that). Here's an excerpt I particularly like:
<i>"Taoism is not a salvific practice. There is nothing that one needs to be saved from, and belief in salvation would lead to belief in damnation in the same manner as belief in good leads to belief in evil. Although they do not accept the false duality of salvation vs. damnation, living simply in harmony with Te and Tao, and not excessively pursuing material wealth, stature, or prestige, will lead to a joyful life."</i>

That Unitarian Universalism seems to be a pretty popular answer round these parts. I wonder if that's becasue we are all on the same wave-length or because they're so freakishly inclusive that a huge percentage of the population get them as their top choice.

I was kinda bummed to see Buddhism lower than Scientology on my list. But, spot 11 was Mahayana Buddhism, so if I add the Buddhisms together...they're by far my top spot. ;)
