“It’s alive!”
“It’s alive!” - Henry Frankenstein, Frankenstein (Mary Shelley, 1818)
It’s not just alive, it’s wriggling and hopping! Frank and I were quite literally floating when we left the hospital that morning after the first ultrasound. The monitor showed the baby quite clearly (pratically every finger stood out on the screen), and the doctor stated all the measurements were ok (no trisomy risk, yay!). The baby’s a whopping 6,4 cm from head to butt cheeks, which corresponds approximately to our calculations that it was due for the end of July (around the 22nd).
But, a picture holds a thousand words.
The most surprising, though, was how he kept bouncing up, using his head and back. Like a cat when you surprise it.
*Sigh* Too bad we have to wait at the end of March for another look. Maybe we’ll have a verdict on the sex, though, which I am looking forward to.
