At long last, Dixie Hollywood left the road.

It’s never been the same for Dixie since we’ve bought the new car, and she just stopped working one night. The cost of repairs vs. the value of the car made for an unfortunate decision to send it to the recycling yard.

Let it be said that I had had Dixie, my 1991 Honda Civic SE, since 1998, and that she was a nice – and tough – car. In the category of “big things” in my life, she’s been there for longer than Frank, even.

But I’m planning to keep Frank a whole lot longer than the car.
