An heavy metal end to summer
We were 19, last night… in thought, anyway!
After we left the kids at Frank’s parents (thank you thank you!) after lunch on Saturday and got to Mathieu and Christine’s place, it was direction Montreal and Metallica’s concert at the Bell Centre!

We had dinner at the Peel Pub before the show and started to feel the Metallica fever: we were the only ones over there without a t-shirt in the band’s “colours”. No matter, we ordered food and a large pitcher of beer. It turns out that “big”, at the Peel Pub, means a GALLON of beer! Oy!!
Later on, after the line-up at the Bell Centre, we found out our “far” places really were far… we had our backs to the wall. Lol! The sound and the ambiance were powerful, though, and we didn’t miss out on the experience.
After the pre-show with Lamb of God, the show started with green lasers and, later on, many lighting effects, huge suspended objects and flammes. The crowd was a human sea, and the event was huge.
A great evening to remember (even for those who, like me, aren’t familiar with the band’s entire repertoire!).

Not sure to shout to be heard over the ringing in your ears or to be very very quiet because of the pounding headache
Glad it was a fun time
I’ve been having chronic headaches for the past two weeks (tension in the jaw and neck creeping up in my brain) and, oddly enough, it ended last night, after the concert. (Had a good night’s sleep, too, with the kiddos away on a sleepover.
Ears are working fine now, and tension is minimal. I will try the stretching I’ve done yesterday, it seems to help a lot.
Ca doit faire du bien de lâcher les responsabiliés pour t’amuser et t’occuper de toi un peu! I’m happy for you. Jvais pouvoir te montrer quelques passes de Tai Chi bientôt, hum pas nécessairement avec expertise, mais jte jure que mon cours de lundi a fait des merveilles
Total recovery plus extra energy!
